Sunday Morning Series

Unto Us – A Christmas Series
Sundays at 10:45am

The darkness is great and gloom does often abound, and in the eyes of Israel in the Old Testament they often wondered if it would ever give way. But darkness is never permanent and at various times God would dispel the darkness and gloom returning Israel to a state of peace. However due to their sin, gloom and darkness were sure to return and return it did, repeatedly. But God being rich in mercy and grace, chose to give the people what they did not deserve, light unending. And in Isaiah 9, we are told that a glory was coming, a never-ending, permanent light that would shine upon the whole world, leaving God’s people, both Jew and Gentile rejoicing. A Son would be born, a child would be given, one that would bring final victory and hope the the world. He would be king, and His kingdom would have no end. This child would grow up to become Jesus of Nazareth and would not only bring the light, but was indeed the light himself.

During this Christmas season, please join us on Sunday mornings at 10:45 as we look in depth at Isaiah 9:1-7, to find out more about the nature of this child that has been given unto us.
